Teapot Gardens

Proposed Budget: $386,714

Teapot Gardens will revitalize a storefront into a café and garden to empower youth with a space they can call their own and by offering employment opportunities and mentorship. The after-school series will integrate a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) gardening program and microgreen distribution, alongside dedicated areas for homework and art. On weekends, events will be co-created with organizations, artists, and families to foster community. The ultimate goal is to establish a flourishing community garden and a vibrant cultural and educational center where neighbors can connect with the environment and each other.

National Diversity & Inclusion Cannabis Alliance (NDICA)

Proposed Budget: $500,000

A 12-week video production training program for youth ages 14-24 to receive hands-on, interactive learning in filmmaking. Participants will find themselves immersed in vocational training and have access to a complete creative production studio to equip them with professional-level production skills for a career in the television and film industries. The goal is to immerse youth in opportunities, upward mobility, and new experiences and divert them from gangs, violence, and criminal behavior.
